Bee Kind Club

The Bee Kind Club is working towards achieving unity and kindness for both Mabry’s staff and students. We do this by spreading inspirational quotes throughout the school, and participating in charitable projects during the year. We hope to give students ease for a hard day at school. We meet in Mrs. Dunlap’s room.

Broadcast Team

Daily at 8:15 am

Broadcast Team writes and produces a daily news show that is delivered throughout the school. Students learn how to use a video mixer, video camera, computer, and more. They practice organizational and speaking skills.The application for Broadcast Team will be available for new students in January. 

Culture Club

Culture Club I.N. Team promotes awareness, acceptance, and appreciation of diverse cultures. The Culture Club I.N. Team plans and implements International Night. You will be event planners, publicists, video producers, art directors, and ambassadors of Mabry. You will be the masterminds behind the scenes by designing activities, student-recognition, selecting a theme, creating advertisements, making a commercial, and selecting the question of the day all to promoted International Night.

​Our mission is to bring students together who share a passion for theatre. It is a positive forum for students to hone their talents, while being a part of the school community. Every student who is interested has the opportunity to perform, becoming part of a cast in a major musical theater production. Students learn about acting, play production,
and stage work.

Environmental Club

Wednesdays 4:15 pm

Do you worry about the Earth? Do you want to make the Earth a cleaner place to live? Are you eco-friendly? If you answered YES to any of these questions, then Mabry's Environmental Club is the place for you! The club alternates weeks by picking up recycling and working outside in  various areas around the school. This year the club will also be raising trout to release into the Chattahoochee River.

FBLA

Future Business Leaders of America is a nonprofit educational association for middle school, high school, and collegiate students who are interested in learning more about the free enterprise system. FBLA helps students develop leadership abilities, prepares them for entry into a business and career technology related occupations, and offers a setting where members compete at regional, state and national levels in business and technology curriculum.

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is a student led club that focuses on equipping, empowering, and encouraging young people to make a difference through their faith. This club is open to all Mabry students and is not limited to athletes. FCA is NOT a school-sponsored club. Listen and look for announcements on specific dates and times.

The Go! Get Organized Club

in the Media Center

Come join the Go! Get Organized Club to learn more about the brain-based binder system proven to increase student success.  All you need is a 1.5inch binder and an 8-pack of double-sided pocket dividers to get started. ​

Intramurals

​Join us at the back gym doors between 8:00-8:10 a.m. (doors are locked promptly at 8:10) and plan to stay until 8:50 a.m. 
A variety of team sports are offered throughout the year including: Basketball, Flag Football, Weight Training, Racquetball, Whiffleball, Soccer, Team Handball, Volleyball and more!

Lego Robotics

Lego Robotics will participate in the FIRST LEGO league challenge this year. Students will build and program LEGO robots to accomplish specific missions related to this year’s topic. They will also research and engage in a community project to make a real world connection to the robot missions. This is the club for you if you are interested in learning about science and technology!  

Lettering Club

2nd and 3rd Tuesday of the month

The Lettering Club is an opportunity to learn calligraphy, modern calligraphy, and cursive writing. Bring your own pens or try out what we bring to share. We share resources and have fun. 

National Junior Honor Society

National Junior Honor Society is an 8th grade club whose purpose is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, to develop character, and to encourage good citizenship in the students of Mabry Middle School. Students are identified for membership based on report card grades during the last nine weeks of 6th grade and the first two nine weeks of 7th grade. 

Reading Club

During lunch and ELT daily

Reading Club participates in the Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl competition each January, reads and discusses books, and helps out in the Media Center. The club meets in the Media Center. As we approach the competition, there will be some before/after school meetings.

Sign Language

Media Center

The Sign Language Club will learn the basics of sign language together. If you know anyone who would like to be involved with teaching sign language, please contact Anita Norton in the Media Center.

Student Forum

Meets on 1st and 3rd Tuesdays​

Mabry's Student Forum provides students a voice in the decision making process as related to student/school needs and concerns. Student Forum members represent all grade levels, and work with the school administration to provide activities for Mabry students. 

S.W.A.T.

Evan Howard, Anita Norton, & Rachel Shively
S.W.A.T. stand for Students Working to Advance Technology. S.W.A.T. members work with staff and students to assist in technology integration. They research new apps and Web tools, help new students learn the ins and outs of Mabry's technology resources, and troubleshoot issues for staff as requested.   

Youth Leaders

The Youth Leadership program fosters mutual understanding, respect, and tolerance, building relationships and civic engagement for both the Youth Leaders and the school community-at-large. Youth Leaders are chosen through an application and interview process. Youth Leaders spearhead many school-wide community service events, drug prevention activities, bullying prevention, and Sources of Strength.
